New: AI fleet intelligence with anomaly alerts, digests and natural-language questions
Vectis runs shared-vehicle bookings, the fleet register, the FBT logbook, telematics and road intelligence on one multi-tenant core, so the trip a driver takes at 7:40am is the same record your finance team files in March.
Development fixture figures, not approved for publication.
Most fleet stacks are a booking tool bolted to a tracking tool bolted to a spreadsheet. Vectis is one domain model: a booking, a trip, a journey classification and an FBT assessment are the same vehicle's history, queried different ways.
Day, week and month boards, per-pool approvals, conflict rules, check-out and check-in with odometer, fuel, condition, photos and signature.
Explore bookingsEvery vehicle, lease, insurance policy, WoF, CoF, rego, service schedule, incident, infringement and document, with expiry alerting that starts before the deadline.
Explore the registerPurpose-built journey records, not bookings reverse-engineered. 90-day (NZ) and 12-week (AU) periods, statutory, operating-cost and mileage-rate methods, audit-ready output.
Explore the logbookPlug-in OBD-II hardware, trip detection on ignition, then road-matched routes and per-segment speed-limit compliance on every finished trip.
Explore telematicsAn AI watchdog and anomaly rules on your fleet data, a regular fleet digest, insights on the reports you run, and a chat surface that answers with your own data.
Explore intelligenceOne multi-tenant core behind web and mobile apps, enterprise SSO and directory provisioning, API access, and access checks enforced server-side.
See the platformAutoID recognises which driver is in which vehicle the moment they get in. No logins, no forms, no forgotten trips.
A shared fleet fails at the handover, not the booking. Vectis makes the handover a record: odometer read, fuel level, condition check, photos of the damage that was already there, and a signature, on a phone, in the carpark.
Overlap, booking-window and maximum-duration rules are enforced when the booking is made, not discovered at 7am.
Approval per pool, or only for bookings over a set length. Turn it off for the depot ute and on for the executive EV.
Site 14 stormwater survey, classified once, carried into the logbook entry and the FBT business-use calculation.
Every completed trip is snapped to real road geometry, so drift down the wrong side of a median stops being an incident report. Then each segment is matched to its posted speed limit, and the trip carries its own compliance analysis. Automatically, on every trip, with no analyst in the loop.
| Tier | Cost | What it adds |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | Included | Full-trip road matching and per-segment speed limits on every organisation, at no per-trip cost |
| Premium | Google, per trip | Refines the first and last two minutes, where GPS cold-start error is worst |
Vectis records journeys as journeys, classifies them as business, private or home-to-work, and then assesses each vehicle under both methods, recommending whichever costs your organisation less.
Cost base × 20% × days available ÷ 365, less employee contributions. No logbook required, and usually the cheaper answer above 50% private use.
Fuel, repairs, maintenance, rego, insurance, tolls, deemed depreciation and imputed interest, or lease payments. Needs a validated logbook period; can save materially above 70% business use.
The alternative available to New Zealand organisations, calculated from the kilometres your logbook actually proves rather than an estimate defended after the fact.

An AI watchdog and anomaly rules keep watch on fuel, idling, utilisation and compliance. Ask for an explanation of any report you run, get a regular digest before your fleet meeting, and ask questions in plain language: every answer cites the records it came from.
Answers are built from your tenant's records with citations. No cross-tenant retrieval, ever.
Fuel burn against distance, out-of-hours movement, unclassified journeys piling up before an FBT deadline.
LTC556 fuel cost per 100 km rose 34% against its own six-week baseline.
Distance is flat, idle time is up 61%. Two stops now exceed 25 minutes with the engine running.
14 journeys are unclassified with the 90-day period closing.
Four drivers hold all 14. A single reminder resolves the period before it closes.
Multi-site pools, cost-centre allocation, approval hierarchies, EV charge status and a booking experience staff will use without training.
Utes and vans that leave at 6:45am. Geofenced sites, job-linked journeys, harsh-event flags, service intervals by odometer instead of calendar guesswork.
One queue: approvals waiting, WoF expiring, journeys unclassified, devices offline, incidents open. Cleared from a phone between meetings.
Every fleet platform shows you a line on a map and calls it the trip. That line is a reconstruction, and how it was reconstructed decides whether the distance on your FBT return is defensible.
Fleet teams do more of their work in AI assistants now, but their fleet data sits in Vectis. The Vectis AI Connector brings the two together, safely, so you can ask about your fleet where you already work.
Bring a vehicle list and one month of fuel invoices. We will show you the bookings, the logbook position and the FBT exposure that data already implies.
