Fleet data
Vehicles and locations, trips, bookings, drivers, fault codes, fuel, RUC, inspections, geofences and compliance, plus utilisation, behaviour and cost summaries.
Ask Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot about your Vectis data in plain English. You sign in as yourself, so it sees what you can see in Vectis and nothing more.
Here are the last 15 trips for Mereana Walsh, mostly in KXR412 and LTC556.
No report builder, no exports. Ask the way you would ask a colleague, and the answer comes from your Vectis records.
Which vehicles are due for a WoF this month?
Which vans are near the end of their RUC licence?
Show me the last 15 trips and profile the driver
Which drivers had the most excessive idling last week?
Is there a ute free in the Hamilton pool on Thursday morning?
Summarise fuel spend by pool last month, in NZD
Where is KXR412 right now?

ChatGPT deep research and company knowledge can search your Vectis records and link each answer back to the record in Vectis.
Combine fleet data with what your AI already does well: charts, dashboards, reports, emails and plans.
The AI can propose a booking, a status update or a reminder. Nothing changes until you confirm, and changes stay off until an admin allows them.
Your Vectis documents and guides are searchable too, so a policy question and a fleet question can be answered together.
Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot Studio, and through Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. Other AI apps that support the open Model Context Protocol can connect too.
An AI app can prepare a change for you. It is only applied after you confirm it, and every change is logged.
You ask it to put KXR412 back into service after its WoF. It prepares the change, but does not make it.
Right there in the chat where the AI app supports it, or with a link to approve in Vectis.
The change is made as you, with your permissions, and recorded in the Vectis audit log.
Cancellations and other destructive changes are only ever approved inside Vectis.
Every request is checked against your current Vectis role and pools. If you lose access in Vectis, the AI loses it too.
Security at VectisUse your normal Vectis login or company single sign-on. Your password is never given to the AI app.
Your role and pool access apply to every request, exactly as they do in Vectis.
Choose which AI apps may connect, see who is connected and how much each app is used, and switch it off at once.
Anyone can disconnect an AI app from their Vectis profile, on the web or on mobile.
Every request through the connector is recorded in the Vectis audit log.
Organisations that keep their data in Australia must accept a data notice before anything can connect.
An administrator turns it on once. After that, each person connects their own AI app and signs in as themselves.
In Vectis, go to Settings → AI Connector and choose which AI apps may connect.
Share it with your team. It is the same for everyone in your organisation.
Paste the URL into Claude, ChatGPT or Copilot Studio. The exact path is alongside.
Sign in with your Vectis login or SSO and approve the connection.
Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector
Settings → Apps & Connectors → Developer mode
Your agent → Tools → Add a tool → Model Context Protocol
Menu names can change as these apps update.
Two ways to use AI with your fleet. Most teams will use both.
Only if your administrator allows changes, and only after you confirm each one. The AI app can propose changes such as a vehicle status, a note, a booking or a reminder. You approve in the chat where the app supports it, or through a link in Vectis. Cancellations and other destructive changes can only be approved inside Vectis.
Only what you could already see in Vectis. Every request uses your current role and pool access, so if you cannot see a vehicle, pool or driver in Vectis, neither can the AI app.
A Vectis administrator turns it on under Settings → AI Connector and shares the server URL. Each person then adds Vectis in their AI app and signs in.
Yes. You sign in with your normal Vectis login, including company single sign-on. Your password is never given to the AI app.
Yes. Administrators can turn the connector off for the whole organisation at once. Anyone can disconnect an AI app from their own profile, on the web or on mobile.
Claude, ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot Studio. A Copilot Studio agent can be published to Microsoft 365 Copilot and Teams. Because the connector is built on the open Model Context Protocol, other AI apps that support it can connect too.
When you ask a question, the answer is processed by the AI provider you chose, under that provider's terms. Organisations that keep their data in Australia must accept a data notice before anything can connect.
Turn it on in Settings, connect your AI app, and ask your first question.
